Introduction
The Secretary is a simple, lightweight, easy-to-use content management system, meant for designers and artists and their online portfolios.
Although the target audience is the creative field, it can easily be adapted to work with any kind of website, in any industry. It aims to remove itself
entirely from the front-end allowing the designer to truly design. The design and layout restrictions of other systems are absent with the secretary and content can
be switched in and out of a page without harming surrounding content. Best of all, it is easily integrated into a current website without much effort.
Understanding The Secretary
The secretary does not manage pages. It manages content. It is up to you to manage your pages and the structure of your website. This is done to allow the individual user to continue with their own
workflow. It also makes it much easier for designers who are constantly redesigning their portfolios to do so with the greatest amount of ease. Since only content is controlled by the system the surrounding page design
can forever change - simply drop a single line of code wherever you want your content to be displayed. The system also manages content templates, which define how content should be displayed as it is outputted on a page. By editing
a single template, content site-wide is updated with the new look.
